This section of the RLN Marketplace is intended for placing announcements about buying or selling crust. As a rule, crust is used by manufacturers of inexpensive footwear and leathergoods. The thickness can usually be from 1.0 to 2 mm. Crust leathers of higher thickness (from 2 to 5 mm) usually are intended for of belts and saddlery. Being, in fact, semi-finished (without finish), nevertheless these leathers belong to “Leather/Leather for Belts, Harness, Saddlery/Crafting” category. Just like drum dyed lining leathers (thickness - 0,6-1,0 mm), being, as a matter of fact, crust, these leathers here are classified under the heading "Leather / Lining Leather". The reason is that both kinds of leathers are often used for the production of footwear, harness, saddlery as is (without finishing), while shoe crust is used without additional finishing much less often and in smaller quantities.
